PASSOVER - what does it mean to you?

 What is Passover?

According to the Bible, it is a tradition where the Israelites shared meals with family and loved ones in commemoration of God freeing them from slavery.

In the new Testament it is remembered as the last meal that Jesus shared with his disciples before his journey to the cross that led to his death and resurrection.

Today in this article I'd like to share with you a revelation that I recently had about this particular celebration/tradition.

There's' this notion or belief that I myself and many others in their spiritual journey have been led to believe, that many of our problems stems as a result of our parents denouncing their spiritual gifts. Through this understanding one is made to believe that in order for these specific gifts not to be passed over to the next generation, we have got to own them.

Once again through studying the life of Jesus I got to understand this differently.  I got to learn that actually it is not that the gift especially of healing will not be passed over but it is for us to understand that the gifts are alive in  our DNA for the entire existence of humanity.

What do I mean about that?

It means that even if you can do the healing yourself and own your gifts, this doesn't necessarily mean those gifts or the healing won't have to be passed to the next generation.
This is entirely not true and believing such is setting one up for failure and being at risk of perpetuating fear into disowning one's capabilities and gifts.

When we look into the genealogy of Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 1, it is very clear that before him there were many more other Kings that lived through his lineage and did what they thought was necessary with their earthly position and gifts. Yet, he was still born to fulfill his own mission in his lifetime.

This notion that we see happening or being perpetuated especially in some religious and spiritual practices is not entirely a true reflection. Through these practices we keep hearing that someone's spirit (grandfather/mother) is alive in you and you have to carry on their mission in order for your things to come right.

Actually what is being meant is that, you have come back to rectify or complete a part of your mission that you didn't complete when you lived as that particular soul in your previous life. And now you are here to accomplish something.

Secondly, it doesn't necessarily mean you've got to do what you did then or how your grandmother/father did things then, but through the spirit that lives in you, you have got to do it your own way that you have been gifted and armed.

No wonder many people fail to practice or even use their gifts the best way they know how because they are also trying to imitate somebody else who lived before them.

What has all this got to do with Passover?

Passover literally means something being passed from one generation to the next. It's like passing the baton to the next person to handle and carry it to the next person the best way they know how.

If we were to have this deep understanding that Jesus didn't have to be Boaz or to do like Ruth or anybody else before him but be himself the best way he knows how and the best way he was well equipped to.

With this understanding, you will not be focusing on your healing so that your kids don't inherit because by virtue of them being born they have already inherited. But you'll focus on your healing with understanding that it is your mission of being here. And that you will not be able to heal everything all by yourself but every other soul is here to help each other in this regard.

This way each and every person will then focus more on the baton on their hands that while it's with me I carry it with pride and make sure I get to the next person with it still in my hand.
