Human rights day - Are you using your rights for the benefit of your generations?

 What is Human Rights Day?

This is the day that was set aside to commemorate those that not only lost their lives in 1960 but also shown courage by standing for what they believed in.

Their actions shaped the way things are done from that day onwards.

Those souls might have lost their lives but their actions have lived till this far. They have left a legacy that us alive today are repeating its fruits.

What does this tell us as people?

That whatever it is that you are here for, you may not live to see it but that shouldn't stop you from fulfilling your mission by stepping fully into your assignment.

For the last couple of weeks I've been writing about the importance of us knowing certain things about our family tree/lineage. Things that are tiny pieces of the puzzle that are meant to help you get an idea of what your mission is as well as the mandate of your family.

You know what's interesting is that, as I'm typing this I'm realizing that I don't even know if there's any of my family members that participated in that march. They might have not died, but took part in it. The question for you too is "do you know if your family member was there?"

Why should we even know or care if they were there?

That's because knowing will also help you understand some of the things you've been experiencing yourself. Maybe that anxiety you keep getting is linked to the people that are in your lineage that participated in that march,  didn't die but survived and now the terror of what could have been is what you also get every now and then?
Maybe you are one of those people that are carrying this fighting spirit and at times even using it incorrectly or it being used against you just because their effort wasn't recognized because they didn't die on that day? So you're literally reliving this trauma through your own daily experiences and you don't even understand what the heck is happening and why is happening in the first place?

Life is so interesting so much so that there are just so many things we are now going through, either right or wrong that are here to give us so much information about who were are and what type of blood we carry within our selves. Yet we look everywhere for the answers and think it's too difficult when all the information could right under your nose.

Do you even know what these rights are?

Today I gave myself that permission to go and equip myself with what these rights are and where they even emanated from, i.e. the history behind it. Until today I didn't even know there was a Universal declaration that was undertaken by certain countries and religions to set out these rights.

I don't know about you, and if you are anything like me, do yourself a favor and learn what you need to know about this day.

While I was doing my research and learning I couldn't help but get deeper understanding of what Martin Luther King Jnr stood for as depicted in the picture above.

This raised so many question that I'd like for you to join me and ponder on:

What rights affected my lineage more than any other as I look back into what I've discovered in the last couple of weeks?
Which of these strengths as depicted in the picture above do we express more in our family?
Which one(s) do I exude more myself?
Which one am I not expressing that could the reason I am where I am today?
How can I start expressing them so I step fully into my mission?

I believe as we delve more and more deeper into understanding ourselves it is then that we gain more power and are able to be what are meant to be while experiencing all the love and joy we are meant to have in this lifetime therefore changing or shaping the expression of our genealogy going forward.

As we celebrate this day further, let's make it a new habit to do it with more understanding and clarity so we can have a better world to live in.
